Route 142 Rail Crossing Problems

Recently Neil Senior had a bad bike encounter with the railroad tracks on 142. He has been in contact with the Bicycle Safety guy for the State of Vermont, who has agreed to come down and look at the rail crossing. Neil is collecting information from people who have had problems with the tracks.

The descent on the east side of Dover Hill is torn up - from Yeaw Rd. to the Baptist Church - grooved pavement and dirt - as of July 12, 2007.

The Massachusetts side of the descent from the top of Huckle Hill has now been completely repaved. July 17, 2007
