The
decision to postpone posting our Tuesday Night Ride schedule was made by many
of our members who are not yet willing to ride with others. Our decision is consistent with those of
bicycle clubs and outdoor groups around the world.
Last night Hank Lange posted an e-mail that struck a responsive chord. He said “Bands of privileged people out doing
their thing along the byways of Brattleboro during the height of this public
health crisis transmits an unintended message about what kind of people we are
that many in the greater community are apt to judge harshly.”
Thanks to
everyone who stepped forward, our schedule for the season is complete. We will
post it as soon as it is safe for group rides. In the meantime, we hope you will get out and
ride by yourself or with those of your immediate household.
