Registration for the 2009 edition of the Turtle Pond Circuit Race is now open (the first race for most of us since the fields in the Battenkill-Roubaix are already closed). The race is on Saturday, April 25th.
The finish in last year's race was at the top of Oak Hill. They have changed the course and added a hill on the back of the course, and the finish, instead of the top of Oak Hill, has been moved to School Street, and this will allow for a sprint finish. In previous years, the climbers had an advantage at the finish. Depending upon your field, you will do at least 3 laps of the circuit.
Me (15th) and Pip (10th) did this race together in '07, and he dropped me on the hill at the finish. If it had been a field sprint, I know I would have been unable to stay on his wheel.
